Who we are

Lever is run by Lever Movement Limited, a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales (company number 16682226). Contact us at [hello@leverapp.uk].

What Lever does

Lever aggregates citizen action, such as petitions, campaigns and issue-raising, at the level of UK parliamentary constituencies. It makes collective voice visible to MPs and decision-makers.

Lever is non-partisan. We don't endorse causes, campaigns or political parties, and we don't decide which issues matter. That's up to you and other users.

Using Lever

You need to be 16 or over to use Lever.

To access constituent features, you'll verify your constituency by submitting your postcode. You're responsible for giving accurate information. If you move constituency, please update your details.

You're responsible for keeping your account secure. Let us know straight away if you think someone else has access to it.

Acceptable use

Use Lever to raise, support or discover genuine civic issues and campaigns. Don't:

• Post anything false, defamatory, or designed to mislead.
• Harass, threaten or abuse other users, MPs, or anyone else.
• Attempt to fake constituent verification or misrepresent your location.
• Use Lever for spam, unsolicited advertising, or unrelated commercial purposes.
• Try to interfere with the platform's security or normal operation.

We can remove content or suspend accounts that breach these rules.

Your content

If you post or pin content to Lever (campaigns, comments, links to petitions), you keep ownership of it. You give us permission to display it on the platform and to include it, in aggregate and anonymised form, in summaries we send to MPs and other decision-makers.

You're responsible for what you post. Don't share anything you don't have the right to share.

What Lever isn't

Lever aggregates and amplifies citizen action. It doesn't guarantee any MP or organisation will act on it.

We summarise parliamentary activity using AI. These summaries are a starting point, not a substitute for reading the primary source. We try to keep them accurate, but we can't guarantee they're error-free.

Third-party services and links

Lever links to and draws data from third-party sources, including the UK Parliament Petitions API and campaign platforms hosted elsewhere. We're not responsible for the content, accuracy or availability of these external sites.

If you sign up for email updates, this is handled by a third-party platform such as Mailchimp, under their own terms.

Availability

Lever is an early-stage platform. We'll do our best to keep it running, but we don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. We may change or withdraw features as the product develops.

Liability

We provide Lever as it is. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform, or from decisions made based on Lever's summaries or data.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that can't legally be limited, such as death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, or if we need to for legal or security reasons.

Changes to these terms

We'll update this page if anything changes and note the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll try to let you know directly.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
